COMMUNITY ALERT
Posted on Feb 12th, 2014

Good afternoon everyone,

Within the last week we have had a number of vehicles in the Davis/Radio
area that have had items taken from them. So far ALL of these vehicles were
left unlocked. There has been no forced entry and or damage to the vehicles
reported. Small things have been taken like money/change, paper and other
things that can easily be carried away. So far the incidents are occurring
during the week and not on the weekends when children are out of school, it
doesn't appear to be a weekend/kids thing right now. They are hitting both
open AND gated communities.

If you could remind your residents to LOCK their vehicles at all times and
to not leave anything in them which could be easily taken. Please have them
call 911 or the non-emergency 252-9300. If they see or hear anything
suspicious. Feel free to put up flyers with this information around common
areas which some communities have already done.

Just so you know we have stepped up marked and unmarked patrols in
residential areas from midnight-6am which is when these seem to be
occurring.

Some of you may have already had incidents in your community and have spoken
with me. If you haven't and have any questions please feel to call or
e-mail.

Thank you!
Jim
